Registered Agent Services

Each state in which your nonprofit operates requires you to appoint a nonprofit registered agent when you incorporate. In fact, without a registered agent, your articles of incorporation will be rejected.

A nonprofit registered agent is also known as an “agent for service of process.” This individual or company provides a physical office in the state where you form or register your nonprofit (either your home state or if you register in additional states.) The registered agent’s legal responsibility is to receive service of process and government notices during regular business hours and forward them to you. These documents are time-sensitive, which means it is important to choose a reliable registered agent for your nonprofit.

INCLUDED IN THIS SERVICE:

• We will act as your primary point of contact between each state, the courts, and your nonprofit;
• We will be available during all business hours to receive service of process, should this be necessary;
• Nonprofit Ninjas will provide immediate notifications to alert board members and legal counsel (if applicable) of service of process; 
• We will also scan any documents received locally and deliver them to you electronically.
